LONDON—A 57-year-old taxi driver was detained at a nearby police station accused of threatening to take a passenger via the quickest, safest, and cheapest route, it has emerged.
Spokesperson at the station where the unnamed driver is being questioned told Dafty News reporters:
“We currently have a male, aged 57, cabbie driver in our custody after a tip-off about his very peculiar behaviour.”
Dafty News understands some of the ‘peculiar’ behaviour involved:
– Being nice and friendly to passengers
– Avoiding political chat, opting to discuss the weather with passengers instead
– Charging a reasonable fare and having appropriate amount of change in his possession
– Was courteous to other road users
– Did not have a baseball bat tucked under the bottom of his seat
